Dec 2024: Dealing with POP-UPs

Block or allow pop-ups in Chrome
1. Open Chrome
2. Click More Settings in the top right
3. Click Privacy and security
4. Click Site Settings
5. Click Pop-ups and redirects
6. Find the site you want to manage and click More
7. To allow pop-ups, click Always allow pop-ups and redirects from [site]
8. To block pop-ups, click Block
9. To add a site that isn’t listed, click Add and enter the site’s web address
Disable the pop-up blocker in Chrome
1. Open Chrome
2. Click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner
3. Select Settings
4. Click Privacy and security in the left panel
5. Click Site Settings under Privacy and security
6. Click Pop-ups and redirects under Content
7. Turn off the switch next to Blocked (recommended)
Block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge
1. Go to Settings and more at the top of your browser
2. Select Settings > Cookies and site permissions
3. Under All permissions, select Pop-ups and redirects
4. Go the Allow section, and then select Add
5. Type in the URL that you want to allow to create pop-ups
Disable pop-up blocking in Safari
1. Open a Safari browser window
2. Select the ‘Safari’ menu
3. Select ‘Preferences’ from the drop down menu
4. Select the ‘Websites’ tab.
5. Scroll down to the ‘Pop-up windows’ section.
6. Select ‘Never Block Pop-ups’ from the dropdown menu.
